Registration for 2016 Fall Ball NOW OPEN

SCYB is currently accepting on line registration for the 2016 Fall Baseball Season starting AUGUST 03, 2016. Your child will be participating in the league in which they will participate in the SPRING of 2017.Example:If your child played in the Rookie League this past year as a 6 yr old, they will participate in Training League next year and will play in the Training League in the 2016 Fall Baseball League. Please follow the link on the SCYB home page to register your child.

Registration will be open for just over 2 weeks, opening on August 03, 2015 and will close on August 21, 2015. Please remember to sign up your child early.

15 Yr. Old Senior League All Star Update

Scott County 15 year old all stars now stand at 2-0 in state tournament play.

Monday night SCYB played Russell County in a very close exciting game at Scott County Park. SCYB scored 6 runs in the bottom of the 7th inning to come from behind to beat the Lakers 9-8. Donavan Shackleford's 2 out walk off single scored 2 runs to win the game. The excitement on the field and the crowd was amazing to see.

Today Scott County Youth Baseball selected the 2016 Scott County All Stars. These young men will be representing Georgetown and Scott County this summer. They will participate in the Cal Ripken tournament trail pursuing victories in East Kentucky State and the Ohio Valley Regional tournaments.

SCYB Board Approves 50/70 format for Major League

The Scott County Youth Baseball Board of Directors at their meeting on January 13 voted to adopt the 50/70 format for play in the Major League beginning with the upcoming 2016 Spring season. The term 50/70 refers to the distance in feet from pitchers mound to home plate, 50 feet, and the distance between each base, 70 feet. Senior League Cal Ripken Bat Rules

Drop 8 or less weight. (nothing is allowed with a drop greater than 8)

All drop 8 to drop 4 bats need to have the usssa 1.15 stamp on it. (Does not have the bbcor stamp on it.)

These bats that are between drop 8 and drop 4 cannot be composite barrel even if it has the 1.15 stamp on it.
