2016 All Star Registration Now Open

Scott County Youth Baseball is currently accepting registrations for All Star teams for the 2016 summer season. Registration is open through May 15th. SCYB will be extending All Star play to 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12 year old teams.

All players and head coaches for each team will be selected by the Head Coaches in each league. Major League head coaches select for ages 10, 11, and 12, Minor League head coaches select for 9

Pitch, Hit and Run Winners

Scott County Youth Baseball hosted our annual Pitch, Hit and Run Skills Competition at Suffoletta Park on Sunday, April 24. Particpants competed in their appropriate age groups with champions named in each of the three skills categories and including an Overall Champion by age group. Each category winner and the overall champion will now move on to compete in Sectional competition to be held at Central Park in Union, Kentucky on May 22, 2016. Win

SCYB Board Approves 50/70 format for Major League

The Scott County Youth Baseball Board of Directors at their meeting on January 13 voted to adopt the 50/70 format for play in the Major League beginning with the upcoming 2016 Spring season. The term 50/70 refers to the distance in feet from pitchers mound to home plate, 50 feet, and the distance between each base, 70 feet. Senior League Cal Ripken Bat Rules

Drop 8 or less weight. (nothing is allowed with a drop greater than 8)

All drop 8 to drop 4 bats need to have the usssa 1.15 stamp on it. (Does not have the bbcor stamp on it.)

These bats that are between drop 8 and drop 4 cannot be composite barrel even if it has the 1.15 stamp on it.
