Bob Leonard Hitting Facility General Rental Guidance

Scheduling

Hitting facility slots are available Monday-Friday from 5:30pm-9:30pm (last time slot 8:30), Saturday 8:30am-10:30pm (last time slot 9:30pm), and Sunday 1:30pm-9:30pm (last time slot 8:30pm) in 1-hour increments. 

Each team/requestor will only be allotted for a maximum of 2 times each week at the hitting facility, unless there no other requests from other teams/individuals. All requests will be on a first come first serve basis.

The first request can be made at 5:01pm on Saturday for the upcoming week (Monday-Sunday). You can make a second request at 5:01pm on Wednesday for another time for that week (Thursday-Sunday). View the SCYB Batting Cage Calendar to see which slots may still be available.

Schedule your time slot by submitting an email to scottcountyyouthbaseball@gmail.com. List your League, Team Name, Your Name, Phone #, and make sure that you have 2 optional times per request in case the first one has already been requested.

Please allow at least a 24-hour window for your first request. For example, do not submit a request Monday morning for that Monday afternoon. Start reserving your time today!

All cancelations must be submitted 48 hours in advance of the scheduled team’s time. No shows or requests submitted after the 48-hour window will still result in a charge at your classification rate (league, non-league or instructor) for that scheduled time slot.

SCYB teams, non-league baseball and softball teams will have reservation priority over individual player or instructor requests, and other sports team requests (i.e. soccer, cheerleading, archery, etc.) 

Standing or multiple week reservations (same time/day of week for multiple weeks, i.e. every Monday at 6:30pm) will not be permitted March through October.

The facility will only be open for reservations March through October. November through February, the facility’s restrooms will be winterized and the heat will be off, however the facility can be utilized at discretion of cage coordinator and team coach to determine if facility is warm enough for use.

Fees

SCYB Teams

Team reservations are available for coaches, assistant coaches and parents/guardians. Reservations are available for 1 hour time slots for the cost of $10.00 and includes the use of the entire facility.

ALL players utilizing the hitting facility MUST be players who played in the league the previous fall / spring seasons or MUST be registered for the upcoming season in order for $10.00 hour rental fee, otherwise you must pay the non-league rental fee. Players who did not play in the SCYB league the previous season (spring or fall), are considered NON SCYB participants.

SCYB all-star teams are not required to pay a rental fee for use of the facility.  Likewise, competitive teams associated with SCYB are not required to pay a rental fee for use of the facility.

Non-League Rental

Non-league rental is for anyone requesting use of the facility whose child did not play in the SCYB league the previous fall/spring season or is not registered for the upcoming season.

The facility can be reserved for a fee of $40.00 per hour per team that is not part of Scott County Youth Baseball. The $40.00 per hour rate includes utilization of the entire facility.

Instructor Rental

Instructors can reserve the Bob Leonard Hitting Facility for no charge if instructing SCYB participants.
