Bob Leonard Hitting Facility General Rental Guidance

Scheduling

Hitting facility slots are available Monday-Friday, Saturday and Sunday in 1-hour increments. 

Each team/requestor will only be allotted for a maximum of 2 times each week at the hitting facility, unless there no other requests from other teams/individuals. All requests will be on a first come first serve basis.

The first request can be made at 5:01pm on Saturday for the upcoming week (Monday-Sunday). You can make a second request at 5:01pm on Wednesday for another time for that week (Thursday-Sunday). View the SCYB Batting Cage Calendar to see which slots may still be available.

Schedule your time slot by submitting an email to scottcountyyouthbaseball@gmail.com. List your League, Team Name, Your Name, Phone #, and make sure that you have 2 optional times per request in case the first one has already been requested.

Please allow at least a 24-hour window for your first request. For example, do not submit a request Monday morning for that Monday afternoon. Start reserving your time today!

All cancelations must be submitted 48 hours in advance of the scheduled team’s time. No shows or requests submitted after the 48-hour window will still result in a charge at your classification rate (league, non-league or instructor) for that scheduled time slot.

SCYB teams (including all-star teams) have reservation priority over all other requests. SCYB teams, non-league baseball and softball teams will have reservation priority over individual player or instructor requests, and other sports team requests (i.e. soccer, cheerleading, archery, etc.) 

Standing or multiple week reservations (same time/day of week for multiple weeks, i.e. every Monday at 6:30pm) will not be permitted March through October.

Fees

See below to determine which category you fall in to determine reservation fee and requirements to reserve.

SCYB League Teams:

• SCYB spring teams:  $0 (March 1^st – February 29^th of following year)
• SCYB summer teams:  $0 (from June 1^st – August 30 of current season)
• SCYB fall teams:  $0 (Sept 1^st – October 30 of current season)
• SCYB Allstar team:  $0 (June 30^th – August 1^st)

SCYB Individual Players:

• SCYB spring members:  $0 (March 1^st – February 29^th of following year)
• SCYB summer members:  $0 (from June 1^st – August 30 of current season)
• SCYB fall members:  $0 (Sept 1^st – October 30 of current season)

 SCYB League Affiliated travel teams*:

• August 1^st - February 29^th:  $0 (must meet 75% participation rate from previous spring season)
• March 1^st – September 30th:  $0 (must meet 75% participation rate for existing spring season)

  *Teams are responsible for submitting their rosters to SCYB board for league affiliation approval.

  *Insurance must be provided naming “Scott County Youth Baseball” as additional insured.

   Non-League Player(s)/teams: $40/hr**

• Anyone who does not fit into a category above.

**Insurance must be provided naming “Scott County Youth Baseball” as additional insured.

**Waiver must be signed by all participants.

**A $0 balance is required to make a reservation.

 Instructor Fees:

• Reservations must be made in the player’s name.  Fee is based on categories above.

  Clinic Rental:

• Request to use cage and fee associated with the cage for clinic must be submitted to SCYB executive board and Cage Coordinator for approval. Ideally request should be made at least a month prior to intended use.

  Institution Rental (schools):

• Request to use cage by institutions must be submitted to SCYB executive board and Cage Coordinator for approval. Ideally request should be made at least a month prior to intended use.SCYB Board will work with institution to determine the appropriate fee and/or exchange for other compensation such as use of institutions fields, equipment donation, etc.
